As a low cost alternative, Grassroots continues to offer plywood soundboards. They are structurally stable and strong. We offer 1/4" mahogany. Plywood soundboards, as a rule, have a drier, less resonant (banjo-like) sound than solid wood soundboards. Because the sustain is usually shorter than with solid wood, some players prefer a plywood soundboard when playing fast fiddle tunes. Both the 15/14 and 12/11 size instruments are made of the same high quality materials.

This dulcimer comes with an L shape plastic handle tuning wrench, a set of single sided playing hammers, tuning chart and "First Tunes" booklet.
